A cleaning checklist serves two functions: it tells the crew what to do, and it gives the office manager a concrete standard to verify against. Without a written checklist, "cleaned" is whatever the crew decided to do that evening. With one, it is a specific list of tasks that either happened or did not.

The checklist below is formatted for a standard commercial office in Hampton or the surrounding area — professional services, a small number of private offices, shared open-plan space, a breakroom, and standard restrooms. Adjust the task list to match your facility.

How to use this checklist with a vendor

Send this checklist to any cleaning contractor you are considering and ask them to mark which tasks are included in their quoted price and at what frequency. Tasks they exclude become negotiating points — either add them to the scope or understand you are accepting a gap. A contractor who declines to engage with a written task list is not a contractor who will manage scope reliably.
